There is no head coach for the team, no date when camp will open and added to this is the usual issue with the MRI age test. The team are on a race to be prepared for the tournament in Ghana.

This situation marks a stark contrast to 2022 when Nduka Ugbade led the U17s to victory in the sub-regional qualifying tournament, also held in Ghana.
