The 20 year old Düsseldorf native has been selected for Germany’s U20 squad for friendly matches against France, set to take place on March 22 and 25, 2024, in Valencia.
David Odogu, a highly regarded defender and U17 world champion in 2023, has been included in Germany’s U18 squad for matches against the Netherlands, England, and the Czech Republic in Pinatar, Spain. Additionally, Bayer Leverkusen’s striker Francis Onyeka is part of Germany’s U17 squad for the second European Championship qualifying round in Braga, where they will face Croatia, Ireland, and hosts Portugal.
Six players of Nigerian descent are on standby, ready to step in if needed. These include Joshua Uwakhonye U19 of Borussia Monchengladbach, Oluwaseun Ogbemudia of Union Berlin, Jonathan Akaegbobi U18 of Wolfsburg, Wesley Adeh of Werder Bremen, Trevor Benedict of Wolfsburg, and Ken Izekor U17 of Bayer Leverkusen.
