Ex Golden Eaglets Defender Kingsley Udoh Pursues Coaching Revival

The 33 year old former Akwa United, Heartland, Kano Pillars, and Sunshine Stars player has been struggling financially and is finding it challenging to secure the funds needed to attend a formal coaching course. Despite trials with European clubs like Atletico Madrid and Olympiacos, Udoh never secured a permanent move abroad, a setback he attributes partly to exploitative agents.

Udoh’s post playing challenges are compounded by unresolved payments from his time with Nigerian clubs. He shared that Heartland, Kano Pillars, and Sunshine Stars still owe him wages totalling millions of naira. Reflecting on his career, Udoh expressed frustration about losing his U17 World Cup gold medal, a cherished keepsake that went missing after his father’s passing.
