The Super Falcons of Nigeria have retained their 36th position in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings, released on March 6, 2025. With 1,622.49 points, they remain the highest-ranked African team for the fifth consecutive time.
South Africa, the reigning WAFCON champions, is the second-best African team at 54th globally, while Morocco follows in 90th place. Elsewhere in Africa, Tanzania and Kenya climbed seven spots each after impressive WAFCON qualifying wins over Equatorial Guinea and Tunisia. However, Tunisia suffered the biggest drop, falling 11 places to 89th after losing to Kenya.
Global Rankings Shake-Up
