Cardiff City striker Kion Etete has signed a contract extension that keeps him with the club until the summer of 2027. The 22 year old Nigerian forward will now spend the remainder of the 2024/25 season on loan at League One side Bolton Wanderers.
Since joining Cardiff in 2022, Etete has made 63 appearances, scoring nine goals. The former Tottenham youth product previously enjoyed successful loan spells at Northampton Town and Cheltenham Town, netting 20 goals in various competitions during his time at Spurs.
Etete’s move to Bolton, managed by Steven Schumacher, is expected to bolster the team’s attack as they sit 7th in the League One standings.
