Vorskla Poltava, the two time Ukrainian top flight champions, have announced the signing of Nigerian center forward Samson Iyede on a two year contract. Iyede, who previously played for Danish First Division club AC Horsens, joins Vorskla Poltava as a free agent.
The 26 year old striker, a product of FC Ebedei, brings with him some Ukrainian Premier Liga experience, having been on loan at Chornomorets last season. During his loan spell, Iyede made 25 appearances, scoring two goals and providing an assist in 1,350 minutes of action. Vorskla Poltava expressed their excitement about Iyede’s desire to prove himself at his new club, a sentiment he echoed upon signing.
Iyede’s football career has seen him play for clubs in various countries, including Paide in Estonia, Fremad Amager in Denmark, and Lommel in Belgium.
