Belgian Pro League champions Club Brugge have officially signed 18 year old Nigerian defender Vince Osuji from Swedish club Kalmar FF. The transfer, finalized on Thursday, is reportedly the biggest net sale in Kalmar’s history, with the deal valued at over €3 million and potentially rising to €4 million through performance-based bonuses.
Osuji, who signed a contract valid until June 30, 2029, joined Kalmar from Nigeria’s De Cardinal Football Academy in April 2024. Despite making only 16 professional appearances for Kalmar, his performances attracted interest from top clubs, including Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg, Bayer Leverkusen, Anderlecht, and FC Dallas. Club Brugge emerged as the successful bidder, securing Osuji in what has been described as a transfer coup.
