Super Falcons’ head coach, Justine Madugu, has called up 25 players, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade and top goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, for two international friendly matches against Algeria’s national women’s team. These matches, scheduled for October 26th and 29th at Lagos’ Mobolaji Johnson Arena, mark the first time in three years that the Super Falcons will play friendlies on home soil.

The squad features a combination of overseas based stars and homegrown talents, with players from Nigerian clubs like Edo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and Bayelsa Queens. Notable inclusions in the squad include Turkey based defender Oluwatosin Demehin and Spain based forward Gift Monday, as well as emerging players from the U20 Falconets.

This will be the Super Falcons’ first international appearance under Coach Madugu since Randy Waldrum’s departure earlier this year. The matches, sanctioned by CAF, will be officiated by officials from Benin Republic, with the Algerian team expected to arrive midweek.
