Hoffenheim manager Christian Ilzer has confirmed that Nigerian forward Gift Orban could return to action in today’s Bundesliga match against Freiburg. The 21 year old was an unused substitute in the previous game against Mainz but has impressed in training during the week.
Orban, who joined Hoffenheim from Lyon, has scored four goals in 12 appearances since his arrival. Despite being overlooked for tactical reasons in the last outing, Ilzer hinted that the striker is very much in his plans moving forward.
“We decided that Haris was a better option against Mainz,” Ilzer said. “But Gift trained very well this week and is certainly an option for tomorrow.”
