Nwakali’s impressive volley came in Barnsley’s 2-1 away victory over Exeter City on December 14. Just after halftime, the midfielder struck from the edge of the area to level the score at St James Park. The victory was later secured by Davis Keillor-Dunn, who scored the winning goal.
Nwakali, who joined Barnsley in August 2024 on a three year deal, has made nine appearances this season, scoring one goal. He was presented with his award by Callum Simpson, a Reds fan and professional boxer, at Oakwell.
