The opening match will feature Uzie na Abosi All Stars against Fit Friends All Stars at the practice pitch of Dan Anyiam Stadium. Notable attendees include former African Footballers of the Year, Coach Emmanuel Amuneke and Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo.
The event was delayed due to a nationwide hunger protest but is now set to proceed. Casimir Mbachu, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, mentioned that economic challenges led to changes in the tournament structure. Neville Okere, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, assured a well organized competition despite these challenges.
Dinamo Dinamic, the defending champions, were the first to register and are confident in their ability to retain the title.
