Super Eagles defender Kevin Akpoguma has reaffirmed his dedication to TSG Hoffenheim, a club he has been with for over a decade. The 29 year old reflected on his journey, calling Hoffenheim his “second home” and acknowledging the significant role it has played in his career.

Currently ranking among Hoffenheim’s top 10 players with the most Bundesliga appearances, Akpoguma remains a vital part of the team. This season, he has already made 22 appearances across all competitions, showcasing his experience and leadership.

As long as the club wants to go down this path with me, I will continue to give one hundred percent for TSG.”

While Akpoguma is proud of his accomplishments, he acknowledges that Hoffenheim’s philosophy prioritises youth development. “I’ll be 30 next year, so I’m slowly approaching the autumn of my career. My body feels wonderful, but at some point, we might reach a point where the club prefers to focus on young players. That’s the TSG way.”

On the international front, Akpoguma last played for Nigeria in 2023 during an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone. Despite limited opportunities in the national team, he remains a dependable figure at Hoffenheim.
