Slavia Prague CB Ogbu out for weeks with facial fracture

Slavia Prague defender, Igoh Ogbu, will miss several weeks of action following a facial fracture sustained during a match against Viktoria Plzen. The Nigerian, who had to be stretchered off after a collision with two Plzen players, was initially thought to have suffered a head injury. However, medical tests revealed a fractured zygomatic arch, requiring surgery.

Slavia Prague’s coach, Jindrich Trpisovsky, refrained from specifying a return date but suggested Ogbu could be back by late autumn, possibly around December 2024, if his recovery goes well.
