Toni Payne Makes Home Debut for Everton in Loss to Manchester United

Super Falcons star Toni Payne made her home debut for Everton in a Women’s Super League WSL match against Manchester United on Sunday, but the Toffees were narrowly defeated 1-0. Payne, who joined Everton this season, had previously made her WSL debut in a 4-0 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Everton created a few chances to get back into the game, including a goal-line clearance in the 7th minute and a saved header by Lucy Hope in the 57th minute, but they could not convert their opportunities.
