Remo Stars Ladies have secured a historic place in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six Playoffs following a hard fought 2–2 draw against Abia Angels in a rescheduled matchday 13 clash. The result was enough to guarantee the Ikenne-based club their maiden appearance in the end of season championship round.
Wemimo Matthew’s side displayed resilience to hold off Abia Angels, and the point earned not only confirmed their place but also indirectly benefited Nasarawa Amazons. The Lafia side booked their ticket to the playoffs after defeating reigning champions Edo Queens 1–0 earlier in the week.
With this, five teams have now secured their places in the NWFL Super Six Remo Stars Ladies, Nasarawa Amazons, Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, and Rivers Angels.
