Edo Queens Set to Start Campaign Against CBE Ethiopia CAF Release Match

Edo Queens, Nigeria’s representative in the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League, will begin their campaign against Ethiopia’s CBE on Sunday, 10 November. The tournament, which marks its fourth edition, will be hosted in Morocco from 9 to 23 November in the cities of El Jadida and Casablanca.

The opening match will feature TP Mazembe from DR Congo taking on the University of the Western Cape from South Africa on 9 November at 15:00 local time (14:00 GMT). Later that evening, hosts ASFAR will clash with Aigles de la Medina from Senegal. Both opening day matches are set to occur at M’Hamed El Abdi Stadium in El Jadida.

Edo Queens, competing in Group B, will also aim to outshine current titleholders Mamelodi Sundowns FC to potentially become the first Nigerian club to claim the prestigious title. The tournament structure will see group winners face the runners-up in the semi-finals, leading to the final on 23 November in El Jadida.
