Akwa Ibom FA Congratulates Super Eagles B, NFF on CHAN Qualification

The Akwa Ibom State Football Association has congratulated the Super Eagles B team and the Nigeria Football Federation NFF on Nigeria’s emphatic 3-1 victory over Ghana’s Black Galaxies in Uyo, a result that secured their qualification for the 2025 African Nations Championship CHAN.

Mr Umoh also commended the efforts of the NFF, under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, in improving the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL. He noted that the league’s progress has significantly contributed to the quality of players available for the national team. “The strides made by the NFF in developing the NPFL are beginning to bear fruit. The performance of our home based Eagles is proof that we are on the right path. This victory is not just for the team but for the entire Nigerian football family,” he added.

Looking ahead, Mr Umoh urged the Super Eagles B to maintain their focus and build on this success as they prepare for the 2025 CHAN, which will be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. “Qualifying for CHAN is just the first step. I am confident this team has what it takes to bring the trophy home. We will continue to support them in every way possible,” he assured.
