Charlton’s Adigun joins Umerah at Dagenham & Redbridge

Jason Adigun, a promising Anglo-Nigerian midfielder, has joined National League side Dagenham & Redbridge following his release from Charlton Athletic. After being linked with clubs such as Southend United, Harrogate Town, Gillingham, and Cheltenham Town, Dagenham and Redbridge secured his signature. The 20 year old now reunites with fellow Charlton graduate Josh Umerah at his new club.

Adigun, who left Charlton due to a lack of first team opportunities despite being a key player in their development squad, signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2022. Last season, he showcased his talent while on loan at Welling United in the National League South, contributing to 10 goals across 16 appearances. Adigun’s move to Dagenham & Redbridge marks the next chapter in his career as he looks to further develop his potential.
