Speaking after the triumph, Okosa reflected on the significance of the win, describing it as a powerful moment for a team many had underestimated. “We are coming from a very underrated state. We weren’t expected to be here, but we thank God for bringing us this far,” he said.

SGFC entered the final unbeaten in their group, and Okosa credited their preparation and tactical discipline for their success. Despite the high stakes pressure, the young skipper remained calm before stepping up for the final kick.

“I’m a penalty specialist. This isn’t the first time I’ve been the last taker. I’ve scored 43 penalties in my career, so there was no pressure,” he explained confidently. “The only pressure I had was hoping they would miss. By God’s grace, it worked out.”
