We believe the Flamingos are in a strong position to make an impact at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup. The squad is brimming with talent and determination, as demonstrated by their impressive performance during the qualifiers. The inclusion of prolific scorer Harmony Chidi and the leadership of Taiwo Afolabi are significant assets.
As a nation, we have seen how our young footballers thrive on the international stage, and this year’s tournament provides another platform to showcase their talent. There’s every reason to believe that the Flamingos will not only match their previous bronze medal success but could surpass it. With solid preparation, a capable coaching team, and an excellent mix of defenders, midfielders, and forwards, Nigeria’s chances look promising.
We should also acknowledge the immense challenge they face.
